Employment Proficiency Training Program

Technical knowledge and experience in a job function are not enough to ensure employability or career success. In fact, there’s more to having a successful career than just having technical knowledge and experience. Organizations have identified as many as eight soft, managerial, and leadership skills that are all essential for promoting one’s professional career – collectively called the “employability skills.” The lack of these skills means that students may be unable to find a job or advance their careers. Surveys show that most arts and science graduates are not ready for the workplace because they don’t have the skills employers are looking for. To get these skills, students must take part in training while at university.
